Our Leadership

Equipping Churches for the Mission

Mara Amiot

Executive Director

In over 10 years at YouthWorks, Mara has served in so many roles it’s hard to keep track. Her desire for mentoring and challenging students to find Jesus’ truth and love through service is contagious, as is her passion for YouthWorks to serve and deepen relationships with mission trip communities year-round. When Mara isn't leading her team at YouthWorks, she’s serving her own community in Minneapolis as a mentor advisor for Upper Room Church, or she's training for her next marathon – she’s completed three!

Gary first became involved with Real Resources as a board member and stepped in as Interim CEO to offer his wide range of experience gained from years spent as an attorney and starting and leading of the premier entertainment merchandising companies in the world representing clients including REM, Pearl Jam and Amy Grant. After selling his company, Gary used his skills and experiences turning around companies and consulting businesses. Gary and his wife Diane live in Minneapolis and have two grown children. When not at Real Resources, he enjoys leading his local Bible Study Fellowship group that he has been part of for the past 13+ years.

He also serves every Sunday at North Point Community Church as the technical director for large group environments in the Upstreet Children's Ministry. When he has free time, he spends it with his wife Kristin wake surfing on Lake Lanier in Georgia.

Roger Laney

Director of Finance and Administration
BigStuf Camps

Having worked with and for BigStuf for over 20 years, Roger has been privileged to serve the ministry in a number of roles.  His background and training in accounting and finance, and his experience in owning and running his own public accounting firm, has allowed Roger to serve as CFO for BigStuf for most of those 20 years.  He now serves as Director of Finance and Administration, enjoying being involved in many aspects of helping BigStuf Ministries impact the lives of thousands of middle and high school students each year for Christ.   Outside of work, Roger loves the outdoors and outdoor sports- golf, water and snow skiing, whitewater rafting, hiking, spending time with his family and cheering for the Florida State Seminoles!

Mark and his wife Jade live in Dallas, Texas with their two children, Dax and Skye. When he’s not on the road directing or speaking at an event, he can be found at home volunteering at his church.
